Don’t miss your chance to see Anthony Bourdain at the Auditorium Theatre, tickets on sale now!
Tony loves the energy and edginess of big cities. The Windy City, which he calls “the only other true American metropolis” will be visited by Tony yet once again July 30th as he wraps up his “Close to the Bone” tour. He’ll share stories about food and other topics. Presale tickets are available now, while general sales start Friday at 10 a.m.
Bourdain, author and TV host, but most recognized as celebrity chef is no stranger to The Second City, pointing out a commonly made mistake with that nickname on his show No Reservations. The Second City reference is due to the fact that Chicago was rebuilt after the great Chicago fire of 1871, but some people think it’s second in line to The Big Apple….Tony’s home, New York City.
When it comes to food, Tony ranks Chicago Hot Dogs and Italian beefs ahead of New York’s….but still has an ongoing issue with what most people in Chicago unfortunately call pizza….deep dish. It should be fun seeing what new places Tony decides to visit this time around and hear his views.
