Home of dozens of local craft beers, Chicago reigns in on top of world-class breweries and bars!
In 1835 Chicago gained its first controversial brewery, only 2 years after the city had been incorporated… Today enthusiasts are still debating the best of the bunch. Our experts sat down for a few pints of local suds and came up with our list of the Top 3 Chicago Beers.
#1 – Zombie Dust (Three Floyds Brewing Co.)
As our number one pick, we went with the cult classic Zombie Dust. This phenomenally robust pale ale is one of the nations most desired brews. Distributed by Three Floyds in a mere 5 states, demand for the fresh stout is through the roof. If you are lucky enough to stumble across a case, pick it up. You’ll be glad you did.
#2 – Cane & Ebel (Two Brothers Brewing Co.)
In 1996 Two Brothers took hybrid beer to new heights when they created this satisfying new brew. This hoppy red ale with rye and Thai palm sugar lager will certainly not disappoint.
#3 – Two Hearted Ale (Bell’s Brewery)
This India Pale Ale is hop filled without blowing you away. A flavorful IPA with grape, pine and floral hops. We would recommend this smooth full bodied ale to anyone who hasn’t tried it yet.
